FIRST TECH CHALLENGE

• Who are we?

We are an educational robotics team based in Volos. It was created through the collaboration of Team TALOS – Magniton Kivotos and the 1st Experimental General High School of Nea Ionia, Magnesia. The team is participating for the second consecutive year in the First Tech Challenge competition, managing to score an award in our rookie year. It consists of six high school students and five adult mentors. Its activities are part of the TALOS program and the robotics club of the 1st Experimental High School of Nea Ionia, Magnesia.

The team is a pioneering leader in the competition, as it was the first team established in Thessaly. Last season, it competed in the National Finals in Thessaloniki, where it earned the 1st Connect Award. The final includes more than 20 FTC teams with at least 200 students and 400 adults. At the same time, FLL teams visited the team to observe its work. The FLL final hosts 60 teams with over 600 students and 2,000 adults.

Hey! I am Apostolos, usually found helping out on programming, with significant impact on building the robot. I love programming and have been involved with it since a long time ago, at the age of 12.

Team Captain, Developer

Hello! I am Nefeli, the team captain. I love programming and have been in robotics since a long time ago. Last year, I helped the team with the Engineering Portfolio and also were a driver in Finals.

Odysseas

My name’s Odysseas and I’m 15 years old. I like programming and spend most of my time working on deferend projects. I help the team with programming, and strategically planning the robot’s route.
